Pinxton Online - Pinxton's Community Website

I found this site and thought I might find a contact name for Pinxton Local History Society which I beleive exists, but as there is practically nothing on this site, and I do not live in Pinxton to encourage people to use it, I don't suppose I will bother again! I need to contact someone this week. I will try other avenues. Historians are not known to be in the technology forefront.

Anyone got an links to the colliery that was at Pinxton?? GFs dad was a miner

I'd recommend you Google it - i just did and there's quite a few links to lots of things related to the colliery.

only managed to find a few pics,girlfriends dad worked on the coal face there
